The Historical Forts of Saint-MauriceSaint-Maurice is the northern portal of the principal alpine transit routes between the Franche-Compté and the Piemont. This determined the military importance of the place and the constant interest of erecting fortifications there.

The Old Tine Mills of Troistorrents This ensemble of traditional buildings, dating from the 15th century, clings to the steep rocky walls of the Tine River Gorge near Troistorrents. Modern-day visitors get a hands-on understanding of the antique hydraulics used to operate the mill, press, forge and sawmill.

Morgins' Church Bells
The effigies engraved into the bells consist of a set of religious doctrines sculpted by French monks from the Voirons in Haute Savoie. They are located around the base of the church bells for public viewing. These effigies represent the life of Jesus, the parables of divine mercy and the Church.

Traditions and Léman Boats Museum in St-Gingolph The museum retraces the history of merchant boating on Lake Geneva from the XV to the XX centuries. Other exhibits cover the naval shipyard and the village community in the golden age of the barques, the instantly recognisable Lemanic boats with the graceful lateen sails, or «butterfly wing» sails.

"Espace Evolution" in Vionnaz A first part is dedicated to the work in a vineyard and wine. A second part is dedicated to irons, from their invention up until today. This is the biggest collection in Europe! A third part is dedicated to life in the Commune of Vionnaz.

Castle of Saint-MauriceThe castle is well situated and has an important strategic position at the entrance of the superior part of the Rhône Valley. Events will give Saint-Maurice a new military importance only at the end of the Middle Age.

Castle of MontheyVisit the expositions in the Castle of Monthey as well as the "Musée du Pays de Monthey" Hall. This hall has been dedicated to Louis Borgeaud for the many notebooks he left behind on the history of Monthey and for his work as archivist for the Commune of Monthey.

Castle of Aigle Perched on the remnants of a prehistoric Bronze Age refuge, Aigle Castle was built as an important 13th century bastion in the relentless Savoyard advance into Valaisan territories. The castle has recently undergone a complete and painstaking restoration and part of the castle now houses the Museum of Wine and Vineyards.

Salt Mines in BexCarved into the hillsides of Bex is a vast labyrinth of twisting and turning tunnels, bottomless pits, winding staircases and cavernous underground rooms. The tunnels delve a massive 50 km into the earth beneath the towns of Villars, Chesières and Arveyres.

The Defago Galery in ChamperyThis gallery is more than 600m long and in certain places had to be cut into the rock. It follows a natural cornice almost horizontal where tufts of denostyles with leaves of petasite (Adenostyles albifrons) flourish.

Astronomical Observatory in VérossazIn a magnificent setting surrounded by the massive Dents de Morcles and Dents du Midi Mountains, observe the unbelievable miracles of our sky. Visits last about 90 minutes and are organised only if the weather permits.

The Fairies' Cave This cave offers a natural and wonderful show in which its principal actors, rocks and water, depend upon your imagination to make this journey in the bowels of the earth unforgettable. After half of a kilometer of educational path in a well-lit gallery, the visit reaches its peak with a little lake fed by an impressive waterfall.
