Depending upon the snow conditions, the Tour des Dents-du-Midi may be completed from June to October. You should make enquiries as to the state of the “Col de Susanfe” on the Salanfe side at the beginning of the season. Should the snow be late, it is usually necessary to take the “winter” route right through to the beginning of July.

This route is suitable for hikers with good physical condition. It is suitable for families. Good equipment is recommended : hiking boots, warm clothes, waterproof clothing etc…

As well as this well-marked route, there are a variety of other paths running through the Dents-du-Midi that will satisfy even the most audacious of individuals: the ascent of the Haute Cime and the Dents-du-Midi glacier with its hut "Refuge des Dents-du-Midi".
